Rallis India to set up Agrochemicals Manufacturing Plant at Dahej in Bharuch district of Gujarat with an investment of Rs. 1100 million. The project involves setting up of agrochemicals unit with production capacity of 45790 MTPA. Besides 10,000 MTPA of formulations in the solid and liquid form and byproducts will be manufactured.

Godrej Industries to expand its organic chemicals unit at Burjorjinagar in village Kanerao, Taluka Valia in Bharuch district of Gujarat. The proposed expansion will be carried with in the existing unit having land area of 140 acres. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 95 million.

The plant will become operational by mid 2010. It will also set up a R&D centre in Dahej. The company has brands like Victor, Lethal, Sharp, Milquat and Thimet and has market share of 6% in agro chemicals market.

Navjivan Chemicals to expand its synthetic organic chemical unit in Ankleshwar in Bharuch district in Gujarat. It is proposed to manufacture 500 MTPM of linear alkyl benzyl sulphonic acid and 511 MTPM of sulphuric acid (80%) wll be produced as byproduct with an investment of Rs. 4 million.
