SRF to produce fluorine based speciality chemical in Dahej

SRF Ltd is planning to invest Rs. 10,000 million to set up a greenfield chemical plant to produce fluorine based speciality chemical which will be used as intermediaries in the manufacture of drugs, pesticides etc., The company is also expanding its Gummidipoondi coated fabrics plant with an investment of Rs. 1430 million. It also recently commissioned a laminated fabric plant at Kashipur in Uttarakhand. Currently, the company has 8 manufacturing locations in India and more plants in Dubai, South Africa and Thailand.

Akzo Nobel to expand its capacity

Akzo Nobel a leading paint and corrosion protection chemicals manufacturer is planning to set up a new green field plant in south India. It is scouting for a suitable land of 75 acres in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka which will have a manufacturing facility of 70 million tonnes. The new facility will entail an investment of Rs.1000 million.

Alakar Products plans textile dye manufacturing unit in Thiruchendur


Alakar Products is planning to invest Rs. 5.0 million to set up a textile dye manufacturing unit and auxiliary chemical unit in Nazareth in Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu.  The unit will manufacture     acid orange, textile auxiliary chemicals, turkey red oil, binder, softener etc.,
