Nippon Paints plans expansion at Sriperumbudur

Nippon Paints which has started operations with Sriperumpudur plant had invested around Rs.650 million. It has a capacity to produce 20,000 kilo litres of paint and is planning to increase it to 50,000 kilo litres with an investment of Rs. 500 million. The company is also planning to set up an industrial paints division with a capacity of 8000 kilo litres /annum in Taloja and has acquired 18 acres of land. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 600 million. It also plans to increase its dealer to 6000 of 2000 to be exclusive paint shops. It will localize it contents by next year, where now around 60% of its raw materials is imported.

Encee Aromatics to expand its aromatics unit at Chickadasampalayam in Mettupalayam taluk in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu with an investment of Rs. 15 million. The project involves expanding manufacturing facilities to produce Ambrettolide, Iso Butyl Quinoline, Santalire, Floral Concentrates, Floral Absolutes, Vetiverol, Undeca Vertol etc., among other aromatic chemicals.

Clariant Chemicals plans expansion of its chemical unit at Kanchipuram

Clariant Chemicals Ltd is expanding its chemical unit at Sinagadibakkam village in Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu with an investment of Rs. 400 million. The project involves expanding the manufacturing facilities of chemical unit for Syntan , Bates, Fat Liquor, Superplasticizer, Biocides and Uracil . The raw materials required for the unit will be tri-ethanolamine, urea, acetic acid glacial, acrylic acid monomer, adipic acid, aniline, aromatica, bronopol, butyl carbitol, catalix gsib liquid, phenol and peg 600 etc.
