The company manufactures nano material concentrate for different applications - eg. Solar PV, water purification, dust repellents etc., Their R&D lab is also has 3 more products in pipeline which are in testing stage. It may be noted, the company has been funded by USA based angel investor.

Modern Insecticides to expand its chemical unit in Kohara village in Ludhiana district of Punjab with an investment of Rs. 6.86 million. The new unit will have a capacity of 50 mtpa to produce Cypermethrin and will provide feedstock for Cartaphydrochloride pesticide formulation unit.

Centre to develop plastic parks in Maharashtra and Gujarat

Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers is planning to invest Rs.2000 million to set up plastic parks. Each park will be of 100-150 hectares and will house 100 plastic units with a monthly capacity of 200 tonnes. The objective is to promote exports and to go up the value chain from exports of low value raw materials. Department of Chemicals and Fertilizers had approached Finance Ministry, Planning Commission and state of Gujarat, West Bengal for 250 hectares of land in the chemicals corridor.

Alchemie Industries plans dyes intermediates unit at Sarigam in Gujarat. The project involves setting up of dyes intermediates manufacturing unit to produce Ortho /Para Nitro Anisole, 5 Chloro 2 Nitro Phenol, 5 Chloro 2 Nitro Phenol, 4 Nitro Ortho Anisidine among other chemicals. The unit will have a total capacity of 210 mtpa to manufacture a combination of chemicals. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 1.5 million.
