Nagarjuna Agrichem to expand its production capacity

Nagarjuna Agrichem is planning to invest Rs. 2500 million to set up a greenfield chemical unit at special economic zone in Visakhapatnam. This new facility will manufacture active ingredients and will become operational by 2011. The company is also implementing a debottlenecking programme at Srikakulam and Ethakota facilities at a cost of Rs.400 million. The company is planning to launch 5 new brands in pesticides this year for wheat, paddy and tea crops and to expand its dealer network in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.

Vasant Chemicals is setting up a chemical manufacturing unit at Jeedimetla


Vasant Chemicals is setting up a chemical manufacturing unit at Jeedimetla in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs. 62.5 million. The new unit will manufacture the Para amino benzene sulphonic acid  (166.7 kg/day)  and manganese catalyst (28 kg/day) Amino Chloro Nitro Phenol chemicals (133.3 kg/day) and Dihydrazino Stilbene Di-Sulphonic Acid, (2,6 Di Azido Benzal   Sulphonic acid Sodium Salt) Cyclohexanone, 4 H2O,   Diazido Stilbene Di-sulphonic acid di-sodium salt .

Asian Paints to expand its paint unit at Patancheru


Asian Paints  to expand its paint unit at Patancheru, near Hyderabad in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves expanding Paint Unit [Paint 80,000 TPA to 1,00,000 TPA and Resins 20,000 TPA to 30,000 TPA (Emulsions)]. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 150 million.
