NanoCoat to launch new products

NanoCoat, a Hyderabad based startup engaged in nano technology products is setting up production centres in Nanotechnology Park in Gujarat and Uttarakhand. The company manufactures nano material concentrate for different applications - eg. Solar PV, water purification, dust repellents etc., Their R&D lab is also has 3 more products in pipeline which are in testing stage. It may be noted, the company has been funded by USA based angel investor.

Indian government imposes anti-dumping duty on phposphoric acid and Diethyl Thio Phosphoryl Chloride


To protect its domestic industry from cheap imports, especially from South Kore, Indian government imposes anti-dumping duty on phposphoric acid and Diethyl Thio Phosphoryl Chloride (DTPC). The duty on DTPC is around USD 0.47 per kg and USD 1.36 per kg. The duty will be in force till December 21 2009. India is the forerunner with around 42 investigations under anti-dumping category followed by Brazil and  China.


Crashing chemicals price puts Indian exporters in distress


Globally, chemically prices have crashed drastically, eg. Sulphuric acid from Rs.14000/- to Rs.200/- per tonne. Many exporters who have gained by the surge in dollar are now facing cancellation of orders from the importers. They demand huge discounts or refuse to take delivery. Industry people refers to huge amount of orders being held up.
