Acetochem expands pesticides and dyes manufacturing unit at Pandesara in Suart district of Gujarat. The project involves expanding capacity of pesticides intermediates from 125 mtpm to 217 mtpm with an investment of Rs. 387 million. The unit will manufacture Alpha Naphthyl Amine, Sodium Naphthionate, 1 Napthol 4 Sulphonic acid, Phenyl Alpha Napthyl Amine, Meta Xyledine O sulphonic Acid among other chemicals.

Meghmani Organics Ltd (MOL) to commission Panoli plant by the end of this month. The company will manufacture agrochemical products like Chlorpyriphos and Cypermethrin. The project entailed an investment of Rs.50 million. The company’s annual turnover will get a boost once by Rs.500 million once the new unit goes operational. Its key markets are in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

GACL to become largest producer of hydrogen peroxide

Gujarat Alkalies Chemicals Ltd,(GACL) is increasing its capacity of hydrogen peroxide in Dahej from 25,080 tpa to 39,080 tpa. The new plant will become operational by 2011. The plant entailed an investment of Rs.960 million and by this expansion, the company has become the largest producer of hydrogen peroxide in India. Technology for the project has come from Chematur Engineering AB, Sweden. The other big players in hydrogen peroxide are HOCL, National Peroxide and Asian Peroxide.

Sabero Organics Gujarat Ltd to expand its pesticide unit at Sarigam in Valsad district of Gujarat with an investment of Rs. 1538 million. The project involves setting up of manufacturing facilities to produce Mancozeb , Diethyl Thiophosphoryl Chloride (DETC), Glyphosate (Tech.), Chlorpyriphos (Tech.), Acephate (Tech.) among other chemicals.
