Vidhi Dyestuffs to manufacturer food color unit at Dhatav in Roha Taluk in Raigad district of Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 27.5 million. The product proposed to be manufacture will be food colours(100MTPM) and lake colours (50MTPM). The new unit will manufacture the following food colors.

Hikal to expand its pesticides unit at Raigad

Hikal to expand its pesticides unit at Taloja in Raigad district of Maharashtra. After expansion, the unit will manufacture the following chemicals.

Total project area is 60,000 m² and expansion will be carried in 3,000 m² in the same premises. No additional land will be required. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 150 million.

Bulk Cement Corportation to expand its Raigad plant

Bulk Cement Corportation to expand its Taloja plant in Raigad in Maharashtra. The capacity of the plant is to be expanded from (1.20 MTPA to 1.50 MTPA) and the process will mainly involve blending, grinding and packing process of fly ash, gypsum and clinker. Increase in production capacity of Pozzolona Portland Cement (PPC) will be achieved by installation of fly ash processing with clinker (1.02 MTPA), gypsum (0.025 MTPA) and fly ash (0.45 MTPA). Total water requirement from CIDCO will be 100 m³/d. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 700 million.

BPCL & HPCL plans de-salination unit in Mumbai to cut costs

Public sector companies BPCL & HPCL have commissioned IL&FS to conduct a feasibility study for a de-salination plant in Mumbai. The likely cost for the project will be Rs.3000 million which will shared jointly by the companies. The captive plant, an one-time investment will bring down the cost of purchased de-salinated water, which costs Rs.45/- a liter. The project is likely to be set up and run by a third party, which is likely to be Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
