Asian Paints to expand its paint unit at Patancheru, near Hyderabad in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves expanding Paint Unit [Paint 80,000 TPA to 1,00,000 TPA and Resins 20,000 TPA to 30,000 TPA (Emulsions)]. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 150 million.
Asian Peroxides to expand hydrogen peroxide unit at Sullurpet in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves expanding the capacity of hydrogen peroxide from 14400 MTPA to 20,000 MTPA. The manufacturing process involves hydrogenation of Anthraquinone with hydrogen followed by oxidation to form anthraquinone and hydrogen peroxide. The H2O2 produced in the oxidizer is extracted with DM water.
Vasant Chemicals is setting up a chemical manufacturing unit at Jeedimetla in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs. 62.5 million. The new unit will manufacture the Para amino benzene sulphonic acid (166.7 kg/day) and manganese catalyst (28 kg/day) Amino Chloro Nitro Phenol chemicals (133.3 kg/day) and Dihydrazino Stilbene Di-Sulphonic Acid, (2,6 Di Azido Benzal Sulphonic acid Sodium Salt) Cyclohexanone, 4 H2O, Diazido Stilbene Di-sulphonic acid di-sodium salt .
Bhagiradha Chemicals & Industries to expand its pesticides unit at Cheruvukommupalem Village in Ongole Mandal in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves expanding of technical grade pesticide manufacturing unit from 3200 TPA to 3250 TPA by inclusion of 2 new products and by reduction of manufacturing capacity of 3 products. The industry is proposing to introduce 2 products, viz Clodinafop-propargyl and Fipronil. The capacity would be 100 TPA for Clodinafop-propargyl and 200 TPA for Fipronil. It is proposed to reduce the manufacturing capacity of chlorpriphos, chlorpyriphos ? methyl, fluoroxypir, while increasing the annual capacity by a 50 TPA to achieve 3250 TPA. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 76.6 million.
