Omkat Speciality Chemicals to set up new plant in Chiplun

Omkar Speciality Chemicals Ltd is planning to set up a greenfield facility to manufacture speciality chemicals at Chiplun in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. The project entails an investment of Rs. 1000 million and will go operational by October 2012. Currently, the company produces speciality chemicals like derivatives of selenium, iodine, molybdenum, cobalt, bismuth and pharma intermediates.

Balaji Amines plans expansion in Solapur

Balaji Amines is planning to invest Rs. 700 million to expand its production facility in Solapur. It will set up a new unit to manufacture di-methyl formamide with an investment of Rs. 200 million. It also expand its total production capacity of its existing unit to 54,000 tonnes with an investment of Rs. 350 million. The expansion activities are expected to get completed by end 2012

Vinati Organics plans expansion programme in Lote

Vinati Organics, a world leading manufacturer of Isobutyl Benzene and largest manufacturer of ATBS is planning to invest Rs. 1200 million. The project involves expanding capacity from the present 10000 MT to 18000 MT to complete the backward integration programme to supply isobutyl benzene for its ATBS plant. The company is also planning to launch two new products viz., Diacetone Acrylamide (DAAM) and Tertiary Octyl Acrylamide (TOA) which are used as polymers in manufacturing adhesives, coatings, resins, cosmetics etc., The company also plans to set up a 6 MW coal based captive power generation unit.

Satyam Petrochemicals to expand it chemical unit in Wanachiwadi

Satyam Petrochemicals Ltd is planning to expand its chemical unit in Wanachiwadi in Masur Post in Karad Tehsil in Satara district of Maharashtra. The project involves setting up of manufacturing facilities to produce 100KLPD of ethyl Acetate and 20 TPD of Diethyl Phtalate. Around 2 ha of land had been acquired for the project. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 40 million.
