Asian Paints expands its Kudikadu unit in Tamil Nadu

Asian Paints has expanded its manufacturing plant at Kudikadu in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu with an investment of Rs. 10.1 million. The plant has increased its Pentaerythritol capacity from 450 mtpm to 560 mtpm and sodium formate from 275 mtpm to 336 mtpm. The expansion programmes has been carried out by debottlenecking and process optimization

CPCL plans expansion of Karaikal unit

Chennai Petroleum Co Ltd is planning to expand its Karaikal refinery unit in the state of Tamil Nadu. The refinery which was functioning par below its capacity had been getting erratic from PY-3 fields. Its initial supplies were from Narimanam fields but after few years it went flat and the refinery has to depend on truck supplies from Chennai. Now with commissioning of Karaikal port, it has built a pipeline to ensure crude supplies and is investing Rs.1500 million in debottlenecking and expanding the capacity to 1.0 mtpa

Sri Pasupathy Chemicals plans insecticide unit at Vadicherla

Sri Pasupathy Chemicals Pvt Ltd is planning to set up a insecticide unit in Vadicherla in Gudur Mandal in Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up of manufacturing facilities to produce 40 TPD of Mancozeb and 10 TPD of Acephate (insecticide). Land required for the project is around 37.6 acres. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 200 million.
