Almega Paints is planning to set up a resin manufacturing plant in Tulsiberia village in Howrah district of West Bengal with an investment of Rs. 45 million. It may be noted, already there exists a blending plant at the site. Castor oil, Raw linseed oil, phthalic anhydride, mixed xylene, resin, sorbitol (70%) etc. will be used as raw materials. The total plant capacity will be 5520 tpa.
Subham Oils Resins Pvt. Ltd is planning to set up an alkyd manufacturing unit in Surjpur in Barackpore in North 24 Paragnas district of West Bengal. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 16.5 million. The project involves setting up of manufacturing facilities to produce Oil modified alkyd resin. The plant will hazardous chemical such as Maleic anhydride.
Utkram Chemicals to expand Resin Plant at Kanchowki in Bhasa in 24 Paragnas (south) in West Bengal. The project involves setting up of synthetic resins unit with a capacity of 10 tpa using Castor oil and Linseed oil and adding glycol (Penta Erythritol, Glycerin etc.). Solvents will be recycled and reused in the process.
