BP Group to set up acetic acid plant in Koyali

BP Group is planning to set up a acetic acid plant near IOC Koyali refinery in Gujarat. The company has signed an MoU with Indian Oil Corp in 2011. It will invest close to USD 1 billion to set up the plant and will use BP’s Cativa XL technology for manufacturing acetic acid. Gujarat being a textile cluster, will help in growth of PTA (purified teraphthalic acid) which uses acetic acid as key raw material.

Ultramarine & Pigments is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Dahej in Gujarat with an investment of Rs. 420 million. The plant will produce surfactants which finds applications in shampoos, toothpastes and detergents. The company sells 30% of its produce to HUL.

Agrasen Impex to set up unit in Dahej

Agrasen Impex is planning to set up a specialty chemicals unit in Dahej in Bharuch district of Gujarat. The project involves setting up of manufacturing facilities to produce Dimethyl 1,3-acetonecarboxylate (ADC dimethyl), Nitro guanidine (NGN), Methyl Ethyl ketone, Tetrachloro 1,3-Diazabenzene (S Acid), Diamino Chloro 1,3 Diazabenzene (L.L) etc., The project also involves setting up a 3.9 MW captive power generation unit.

Airolam Ltd plans capacity expansion at Dalpur plant

Airolam Ltd is planning to expand its resin production capacity at its Dalpur plant in Prantij Tehsil in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat. The company will expand its PF resin capacity from 240 mtpm to 850 mtpm, MF resin from 80 mtpm to 250 mtpm. The company also plans to expand its laminated sheet capacity from 1.0 lakh units to 2.5 lakh units per month.
