Saptagir Camphor Ltd to expand its camphor and isoborneol plant with an investment of Rs. 60 million. The project involves expanding the capacity from 2000 mtpa to 5000 mtpa at its Kothapalli village in Singanmala mandal in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The plant will produce camphor, isoborneol, camphene and isoborneol acetate and will produce dipentene, sodium acetate hydrate and pinetar.

Sanvira Industries to set up calcined petroleum coke plant in Chatameta

Sanvira Industries is planning to set up a new manufacturing plant in Chatameta village in Rambilli Mandal in Visakhapatinam district of Andhra Pradesh to produce calcined petroleum coke (CPC). The plant will have a capacity of 4,60,000 tpa. The project will also set up a 25 MW captive power generation unit using waste heat.

Yash Birla Group to set up silicon unit in Kurnool

Yash Birla Group is planning to set up a silicon manufacturing unit in Vorvakallu in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The company has zoomed on this location for easy raw material access. Further, the required hydrochloric acid for processing can be procured from Rayalseema Alkalies Ltd, Kurnool. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 90,000 million and has sought the state government assurance on water supply from Tunghabhadra as it is a water intensive project.
